Versatility, texture, and flow are the main elements of the renovation of Fabbrica’s 470sq.m. showroom in Alimos. While aligning with the brand’s industrial identity, our intention was to add structure to the open plan and elevate the way Fabbrica’s bespoke furniture collection is showcased.
By making a few supple yet decisive interventions, we wished to transform the space into a fluid stage of encounters with different environments of distinct character. A black metal grid was suspended from the ceiling and used to mount track lights aimed in different directions that spotlight each design piece individually, creating separate focus points and areas inside the large, shared space.
From the grid are also hanging round curtain rods that were designed to fit the scale and the needs of the store. By adjusting the curtains, sheltered nooks can be produced to host tastefully staged environments that act as immersive simulations of lived spaces.
Three large perforated metal dividers establish a strong yet porous separation of the space, all the while adding verticality and pops of terracotta to the industrial, predominantly grey shell. Large Ceppo di Gré slabs adorn different wall areas, providing a textured and elegant backdrop to the showcased furniture, enhancing their visual impact.
These ceramic wall pieces also demarcate the reception area that is composed of a long desk crowned by a custom, suspended metal box lush with flowers that add a soft touch to the industrial atmosphere.
